Kiku Chin is a small breeder nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in northwest Reno, NV at the California border close to the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
In March of 2005 while residing in Las Vegas, NV we were introduced to the Sacred Dog of Japan, the Japanese Chin. We immediately became enchanted with this graceful breed. Our first Japanese Chin came to us via Hin Satori Kennels located in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is an exceptional dog with elegance, grace and an aristocratic oriental aura. His coat resembles a Japanese Kimono. He has been the apple of my eye since acquiring him. In fact his registered name means paradise apple, but we call him Iago.
He is a direct descendant of Japanese Chin Jamato-Jamaguty, the most accomplished chin in Russia with titles of interchampion, world winner, champion of Finland, Demark, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Russia and the Nordic countries, to name a few. She has been noted as the perfect Japanese Chin and has passed these traits to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In September 2006 we had a new addition to our family, a female (call name Sadie). Again, Hin Satori Kennels did not disappoint us. She is a loving, intelligent chin that actually believes that she is human. Her champion bloodlines also mirror and reflect the champion lines.
Or champion Heritage Bloodlines are of European, Japanese and now American lines.
We breed healthy, sound Japanese Chin who reside in our home with continual 24 hour supervision. This breed is great for people on the go. They require minimal upkeep, no expensive grooming bills, a wash and wear breed with weekly brushing. If you like to sleep in on the weekend, this is the toy breed for you. Their only job is to keep our laps warm.
